Srangan Fajar is a solo project initiated by Fajar Fatmawan during his college years around 2019. Currently based in Wonogiri, this project has significantly influenced his creative process and outlook on life.

Initially, the project drew inspiration from ambient, minimalism, and post-rock music. Besides being sonically inspired by the aforementioned genres, Srangan Fajar also takes cues from the spirit of jazz, classical, and world music. The influences of indeterminate and aleatoric music have also shaped its musical journey in recent times.

Overall, Srangan Fajar represents a chosen path to explore new possibilities in sound, akin to seeking happiness and tranquility in life.

Beyond musical inspiration, his daily life plays a crucial role in his creative process. Not being a full-time musician allows him to experience more emotional and spiritual insights beyond music itself. These experiences are then translated into specific musical or sonic languages.
